Bondage, BDSM, and Judicial Punishments

My question for you today is, what role should bondage and BDSM play in a spanking site?  Obviously there are sites out there like Hogtied.com that own the market when it comes to bondage and BDSM, but is there room for this type of content on a pure spanking site?  Over the years I have incorporated bondage into some of our spanking scene.  Sometimes it is as basic as the use of restraints during a hard spanking:

And at other times I have taken full advantage of the “dungeon”, and while these are still spanking scenes, there is a greater emphasis put on the whole bondage experience:

On rare occasions, I have let the spanking take a back seat and made the scene more about traditional bondage, would lots of rope work, and an emphasis on the restraints and general discomfort in areas beyond that of just the bottom:

My personal tastes regarding the use of bondage and restraints on a spanking site, are that of functionality.  I like to use restraints for a spanking scene in which the discipline is hard enough that I know the person being spanked is going to have trouble holding still.  I think this most closely resembles judicial discipline, but it is not something we have done all that much of, mostly because a judicial scene, in reality, tends to be pretty extreme.  But I do feel that bondage makes the most sense on a spanking site for the judicial type scenes:

As the construction at the new studio continues, I can’t help but look around the giant space and find all sorts of areas that would make for fantastic dungeon sets.  So, back to the questions, do you enjoy the occasional BDSM type scene mixed into a spanking site?  Does the bondage need to be functional, serving only the purpose of holding some down for their spanking?  Do you like discipline scenes in which discipline is applied to parts of the body other than the bottom?  Is there a situation in which there are ropes, bondage, discomfort, nudity, etc. in which there is no actual corporal punishment taking place, that you enjoy?

Obviously we are a spanking company with our primary focus being on spanking content, and this will never change.  But I am trying to explore the needs of our members to see of there is additional content that would add a little something to our sites for all of you.  Drop me a comment and let me know what role bondage should play in our scenes.  Thanks.

For me it's all about punishment and pain to the female bottom so any sort of bondage or restraint that positions said part of the anatomy in a prominent position is all good by me. I'm not a big fan of the "diaper position" but any sort of restraint over a punishment bench or similar apparatus is very enjoyable. Thank you so much for seeking our input. You are a class act all the way and are at the top of your game. Yes, personally I like spankings where the victim is bound to some contraption. And for some reason I in particular like spankings with the victim in a pillory. Bondage doesn't do much for me. I have no objection to it, especially if it facilitates a spanking, but as an end in itself....not my cup of tea. Not really a big fan of punishment to non-bottom areas either. Hardly ever object to nudity {grin}

Mark I like the idea of using that piece of furniture in the first picture as part of a judicial type scene. I think I would like it even more if the cane were replaced with one of those long London Tanner prison straps. That would look very much like a judicial whipping to me. I do think and write about such scenes once in a while, but they are of limited appeal to me because I really enjoy watching the bottom squirm and dance around. For this reason, bondage has always been a minor thing for me. I did, however, write a very hot (to me) scene for one of my stories in which the bottom had been convicted of something and was made to straddle a whipping horse, a post situated horizontally about two and a half feet from the floor. Her legs and arms draped down on either side and were cuffed to the support posts and her rear was caned. It was all very formal and ceremonious, which is not my usual style. Mostly, when I think of bondage, it is for electrical play, because that is not something most people can stand still for. As for other parts of the body, I'm not terribly interested, unless you count the back of the thighs and legs. The word "spanking" just indicates "butt" to me. I'm a dedicated butt-man. I think bondage would be difficult to fit into a pure spanking site, but it can be done as you already have. The short answer is yes to all of the above. I love to see discipline applied to other parts of the body besides the butt. It adds variety. I also thinks it adds some very real uncomfortableness with the model. I suspect this will be a controversial topic (if a cross-section of spanking fans bother to reply) AND that I'll be on the minority side of it.

But I've never been a "pure" spanko. My original interest was in quasi-judicial punishment with a secondary interest in extreme parental punishment, and for most of my life I wasn't very interested in what is, for pure spankos, usually their core fantasy, OTK spanking, simply because my fantasies featured implements too long to USE OTK. I had to LEARN the appeal of OTK from the pure spankos when I got online and had access to input from the spanking community.

I've never felt punishment needed to be restricted to the bottom, either, and have always been just as interested in whipping as I am in spanking.

So it's understandable that I would have a strong affinity for spanking furniture and bondage.

I'm also quite interested in uncomfortable bondage and dilemma bondage as forms of long-term punishment -- as the bondage equivalent of uncomfortable cornertime. It takes editing (and maybe some acting) to make those kinds of bondage work in a video -- I'm NOT fond enough of them to want to watch a half hour of someone in uncomfortable bondage just for the two or three times it becomes uncomfortable enough for her to squirm; I would want it edited down to "the good parts" (and the video producer probably doesn't want to have to shoot the whole half hour, so he'd tell the model to pretend it was more uncomfortable than it was, so they could SHOOT only the good parts).

What did nothing for me were the videos where you showed us the entire process of your tying someone up, especially when it was "ordinary" bondage, for instance, tying someone down to the spanking bench. And it does nothing for me to simply watch someone stand or lie there in bondage that is causing her no apparent physical distress. That sort of thing can work GREAT in stills -- I enjoy my collection of stills of creative bondage schemes -- but stills is ALL we need, having moving pictures adds nothing, because the subject of the picture ISN'T moving.

So tying people up to spank them, yes; tying people in uncomfortable positions and showing them squirm, yes; showing the entire process of tying someone up, and someone being tied up, who isn't squirming (unless you're making a bondage instructional video), no.

But as I said I suspect many pure spankos, whose core fantasies center on domestic discipline, will disagree. Personally, I like to see bondage in a spanking scene, but only when it's real bondage. The first pic you show, from teenbrandi, is a complete bore for me, because the bondage is fake -- that loose rope around her legs is useless as a restraint. So, yes, give us good, tight, restraint with a good hard spanking! Restraint is part of what my partner and I do in our spanking play. Vids and pix showing this are both stimulating and helpful to us, suggesting positions and scenarios we may try or adapt. I have particularly enjoyed a couple of the dungeon scenes, especially one of Coach and lori. Perhaps the realism could be pushed a little my making the restraint a response to excess resistance or struggling, as in today's new scene. I have had a fantasy about judicial punishment involving girls convicted of minor offenses such as jaywalking or parking tickets sentenced to licks with a prison strap or wood paddle. I suppose it would be more like a DVD than a clip.

The scene would be in a courtroom where the girls are sentenced and then the girls are taken into custody and escorted to a public punishment area where they would restrained in a bent over position with bare bottom perfectly positioned.

A wood paddle or a Louisiana prison strap wielded by a hooded executioner type would be perfect. Spanking is therapeutic as is bondage. I find that Spanking & Bondage Devotees learn that NOT being in control is a real wake-up call. Bondage instills the remembrance to Let Go & Trust in Higher Power. James Bondage is very erotic. But I like very few of the bondage scenes from AEG because although they have the pain they don't have the drama. The set up feels like "Let's do bondage today". Bondage fantasies need predicaments or punishment. My interest in spanking came out of an interest in BDSM as well, so I too enjoy the bondage/dungeon scenes mixed in with regular spanking scenes. I hope it's an element RS brings in a little more often in their scenes. There hasn't been a bondage/dungeon update in a while and certainly I'd like to see some newer scenes with some of the newer models like Jackie or Riley punished in the dungeon. Yes there are sites like Hogtide that is specialized in bondage, but you kind of expect it. In this situation it is not as exciting when you know that is what they are into.

When Brandi,Jasmine or Jessica decide they want to do a bondage scene it is unexpected. And all at once you sit up to see how intense does it get for the model who normally does just straight spankings.

I obviously like bondage, but I particularly like it in a suspenceful situation For a bondage scene to work for me there must be sexual tension. It also helps to have mood lighting, appropriate background music and a domme who is into it as much as the sub. Some sexual contact doesn't hurt either! Your best example of this is from the Maid movie featuring Miss J and Jessica.
