Sorry for the lack of posts last week, I took a little vacation to Montana. I am back and have a busy week planned for the blog. One thing that I learned on this trip, is how slow a 56.6 modem is. I connect from a T-1 at my house and had to use dial-up on the trip. As a result, I will be using smaller thumbnails on the main page of my blog. The 1st time I connected via dial-up, I could not believe how long it took to load the main page. What speed connection do most of you use? If you could post your connection speed in the comments, it would be appreciated and will influence how this blog appears in the future.
Back from vacation
Hi Michael, hope your trip was great. I am on a broad band connecion, about 224kps, I downloaded a movie from this site, and took no time at all. If I was on a dial up connection, as you know it would have taken forever. With most sites, now having streaming videos and such I would assume most people would go for a higher bandwidth. Keep up the great work , I enjoy your sites immensely.

Hi Michael
I am still on dial-up and greatly appreciate your recent remarks. I hope to go faster soon but affordable access is hard to find in my area. Thanks for all your fine work.

Hi Mr.M,
I'll bet Montana was fabulous this time of year. No doubt you lost count as to how many deer and elk you saw. It's been a couple of years, but one of my favorite areas to hunt elk is the Bitterroot National Forest. The terrain is one of the most beautiful and tranquil areas to hike in during the off season as well.
As for my internet provider..I have Time Warner cable. It's alot faster than DSL, so I'm able to log on and view your blog in any way that you decide to present it.
Thanks, Razor

Mr. M, I have cable broadband as well, and am generally pleased with the downstream bandwidth. Please continue to optimize your sites to take advantage of the fattest pipes widely available - thanks for asking.

Currently using Roadrunner at 512k. Am waiting for Verizon fiber to arrive in a couple of months which will offer 15 mbps!
